Lloyd Parks
One of the most underrated talents to emerge in the 1960s, Lloyd Parks first made his name as an accomplished singer before becoming one of the most sought-after bass players on the Jamaican music scene. He later added another string to his bow when he launched his own Parks label on which he released a series of superior reggae titles, including a number of national hits.
Despite his many accomplishments, he remains one of the unsung heroes of Jamaican music, but in recognition of an astounding career that spans half a century, Lloyd is this week’s Trojan Artist Of the Week.
